• General blog with genuine traffic — insist on a contextual link inside a relevant post, never an author bio.
• Nofollow offered — price it as an ad against its referral traffic, not as a link.
• Link insertion into an already-ranking post beats a fresh post that nobody will ever read.

• Referring domains higher than monthly visits means a link-first profile. Real publishers rank first and attract links second.
• Traffic cost near zero with high traffic means the keywords are worthless — informational fluff or bot terms.

• Compare the site: count with the post count. Ten thousand indexed pages on a hundred-post blog is a hacked or auto-generated site.
